Christmas Day

Hi there, sorry I was out and about for lunch with a couple of friends today so I don't have any stamping to show you today, but I thought I would share with with you all the traditional family photo that we take on Christmas Day. Jason, my nephew is a talented photographer and sets up the timer on the camera so we can all be in the shot.

(Pictured here is my small but very close family dad, me, Jason and Phil - brother-in-law).

Christmas Bickies

Sorry I have not posted any stamping for such a long time, but when I returned from my Queensland Holiday back in mid November, I just could not find the time to catch up. Over the last couple of days I have been distributing my handmade bickies to family and friends and I thought I would share with you the packaging this year which turned out really well with the snowflakes stamped with white StazOn on the cellophane bags with the cute little toppiers.
I am now on holidays and I am really looking forward to creating some wonderful projects from the current UStamp with Dawn and Friends as I have not had the free time to do any of the projects.

My First Demonstration - Make and Take

I hosted my church's Girl's Night last evening to the theme of Christmas, therefore we did a Make and Take of four Christmas Cards. I had prepared for between 20 and 30 people but we only had about 15 as it's a very busy time of the year with lots of Christmas gatherings so we had quite a few apologies. I will have another one in the New Year on perhaps a Saturday afternoon for some ladies that were not able attend. I have had interest from a few girls to host parties in the New Year and a few orders were taken so it's all happening in my life as an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. Here are the four Christmas Cards we completed, I tried to make them easy as there were some ladies that had not stamped before.

Makeesha Byl Inspiration Sketch Challenge #16

I returned from my Queensland holiday on Wednesday evening to my big Stampin' Up! Starter Kit box of goodies (unfortunately I did not received my additonal order, there seemed to be a mix up of my products and it was finally only sent on Thursday so fingers crossed that it arrives for my Girls Evening at my church were we will be creating 4 Christmas Cards for 30+ girls on Friday!). I am really hoping that this will be my last hiccup I have with Stampin' Up! as my start to being an independent demonstrator has not been smooth sailing. Within my order of stamp sets, I purchased Christ is Born ready for my Christmas Cards, I have really loved using it this afternoon with a few Christmas Cards created. I created this one for Keesha Inspirations Sketch Challenge.

UStamp Stair Step Fold Card

I did complete this on the weekend but have not had the time to post it on my blog, sorry life is just way to busy at work at the moment getting ready to go on holidays at the end of consulting tomorrow. This project was designed by the wonderfully talented Penny Hanuszak at UStamp with Dawn and Friends. I had not made a stair step fold card before and I did copy the design but with different colours and I used the sponge dauber for definition instead of the glitter.

UStamp Christmas Gift Bag

Yes I got my mojo back as I think this Christmas Wine Gift Bag is alot better than my project from yesterday. It was so easy to make just cover a plain brown paper bag with handles. It looks great with a couple bottles of Shaw and Smith wines from Balhannah in the Adelaide Hills.

UStamp Christmas Block / Box

I started on my Christmas cards today, I will take a photo soon to show you a few, I think there might be about 10 completed which is a start.

I also completed a UStamp project which were blocks that spelt out MERRY but as Australia does not have the dies, the very kind Anett sent me a template which I could use. I have made it a box as it would be more useful for me and I ended up only making one as it was alot small than I thought it would be.

UStamp Mini Album

Finally I have had some time to stamp, late this afternoon I completed my first Ustamp project I am a little behind as it started last Friday and there is one project posted each day. I have been busy with the Cancer Council Girls Afternoon and then on Tuesday I made four Christmas cards (but I can not show you these as someone might be watching) for a card evening for the girls at my church in late November but I had to plan what we are making so I could order the cardstock before I go away to Queensland in just over two week's time. I have the next four days off so hopefully I will get a few more completed.

Kathryn's Girls Afternoon

Finally I have time to write up on Kathryn's Girls Afternoon on Saturday. It was so much fun, and everyone loved the five cards and one project (a cover for a Lindt block of chocolate which was in there goodie bag). Below are photos of the afternoon together with the cards we created.

The girls have been showing their cards to others so looks like it will be an annual event for the Cancer Council. I have raised over $700 so far with some more cards to sell to friends and work colleagues.

A big thank you must go to all my supporters - Stampin' Up, Claire Daly, Mary-Jane Rousell, Debbie Keane, Anett Schallock, Lynn Powell and my good friend Lynette Irvine who organised guests and helped with afternoon tea.
