CASEing the Catty - #CTC522 Case a Quick & Easy Option

This week at CASEing the Catty we are featuring the Quick & Easy Option cards on pages 26 and 27 of the Annual Catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Judy May.

I have chosen to case the Christmas wreath card in the centre of page 26.

It's the 1 June and I have just made my first Christmas card for 2026, I usually only start in July ready for my Christmas in July card classes.

My card is a Basic White 5" square card base and then I stamped on another piece of Basic White in Mossy Meadow the wreath from the Most Wonderful stamp set which is a background stamp set but it also "pull apart" to make 4 individual stamps.

I used the two tones of Lemon Lime Twist blends for the leaves and then fussy cut the outside and inside of the wreath.

Finally finishing it off with the Cherry Cobbler Adhesive-Backed Berries and the sentiment from the Greeting for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack and a couple of Basic Black leaves from the Gallery Blooms Dies.

I don't always stamp in the inside of my cards but the matching sentiment went so well and the I then stamped one of the edge stamps twice to create my little border at the bottom in again the Mossy Meadow and Lemon Lime Twist.

Stamp Set:  Most Wonderful
Cardstock:  Basic White, Basic Black
Ink:  Mossy Meadow, Lemon Lime Twist, Black Memento
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Gallery Blooms Dies, Cherry Cobbler Adhesive-Backed Berries, Greetings for All Mix & Match Ephemera Pack

CASEing the Catty - #CTC519 Case the Annual Catalogue

You have so much inspiration this week with the whole NEW 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue to CASE.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Rebecca Scurr.

Today on Mother's Day I am creating a card remembering my dear mother who passed away some 26 years ago but it's only like yesterday, she loved flowers and the beautiful roses in the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper are very much her.

I am CASEing the framed picture on page 56 which I have made into a card which I think would make a perfect sympathy card.

I started with a Very Vanilla card base and layered this with a piece of Mossy Meadow and a Very Vanilla frame which is from the Gallery Blooms Dies and I then added some texture with the Damask Design Embossing Folder and added a little Mossy Meadow ink with the Blending Brushes to the raised areas and then added the most beautiful DSP as the centrepiece.

Finally I added a double bow of soft ribbon and then added a sentiment and couple of floral die cuts from again the Gallery Blooms Dies in Cloud Cover and Mossy Meadow.

Stamp Set:  Beautiful Motifs
Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Cloud Clover, Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Mossy Meadow
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Gallery Blooms Dies, Ribbon

CASEing the Catty - #CTC518 Case the Annual Catalogue Front Cover

It's not long now that you will be able to purchase from the 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue and this week at CASEing the Catty we are featuring the front cover which gives you a sneak peak of all the amazing products which will be available from Tuesday.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from the very talented Rochelle Blok.

I have chosen to case the card in the right hand corner which features a couple of the new colours, Cloud Cover and Secret Sea which team so well together.

I have a Secret Sea card base which I layered with a piece of Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper.

To make the Basic White banner I just used my snips (as I don't have the new Dies), then stamped the flower from Gallery Blooms in Secret Sea and then masked off the image with a post it note and stamped the bloom again to form two flowers.  I coloured in the image with a Cloud Cover Stampin' Marker and the two shades of Spruce Blends.   With a piece of Shaded Spruce I white embossed the Hello sentiment from Beautiful Motifs.

It was then time to added a piece of Linen Thread around the banner, add the sentiment with dimensions and a few of the Cloud Cover gems to complete the card.

As the card base is a dark shade, I added a piece of Basic White and stamped the floral image again in Secret Sea.

Stamp Set:  Gallery Blooms, Beautiful Motifs
Cardstock:  Secret Sea, Shaded Spruce, Basic White, Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Secret Sea, Shaded Spruce, Cloud Cover
Accessories:  Linen Thread, Cloud Cover Gems

CASEing the Catty - #CTC515 Case An Easter Project

This week at CASEing the Catty we are celebrating all things Easter from either catalogues.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Julia Quinn.

Earlier today I hosted my monthly card class and I made these Easter "sour cream" treat containers filled with some chocolate Easter eggs.

I took a 6" x 6" piece of Storybook Moments Specialty Designer Series Paper and scored it at 1/2".

To make the treat container, you make a cylinder adhering with tear and tape.  You then fix the end with tear and tape and I added a staple for extra strength.  I added 8 chocolate Easter eggs and then added more tear and tape to opposite side to create the "sour cream" treat look.

Finishing it off with a loop of ribbon which again I attached with a staple for strength.  I made the tag with a piece of Basic White cardstock and stamped the rock wall several times in Gray Granite and then added an image from the Storybook Moments die cuts.  A cute gift for friends at Easter.

Stamp Set:  Storybook Friends
Cardstock:  Basic White, Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Gray Granite
Accessories:  Petal Pink 3/8" Ribbon

CASEing the Catty - #CTC512 Case Mix and Match

This week at CASEing the Catty we are featuring the Mix and Match examples on page 14 and 15 of the Mini Catalogue.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from Monique Fielder.

It's been a very busy weekend, with lunch out, friends visiting, card class at home but I have been able to do a quick and easy card using the the Storybook Moments Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I have chosen the tag in the bottom right hand corner with the hearts to case.  I have cut out a 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" piece of Basic White cardstock and cut off the corners.  With a 1" circle of Boho Blue I folded this over at the top and punched a hole in the middle to form the top which I put the White Baker's Twine through.

It was then time to decorate with a strip of the Boho Blue DSP at the bottom and then I layered 3 of the oh so cute images from the die cut sheets with dimensionals before attaching a sentiment from the suite using the die from the Delightful Wishes Dies which I was easily able to make a little shorter by putting it through the Cut 'n Embossing machine a second time.

Finally I adhered the finished tag onto a piece of Thick Basic White cardstock.

Stamp Set:   Storybook Friends
Cardstock:  Thick Basic White, Basic White, Boho Blue Storybook Moments Specialty Designer Series Paper
Ink:  Boho Blue
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Delightful Wishes Dies, 1" Circle Punch, Hole Punch, White Baker's Twine

CASEing the Catty - #CTC511 Case Colours of Wildflower Birthday Specialty DSP

I have just returned from attending Stampin' Up! OnStage event in Brisbane and wow it's been a fantastic time away even though it was very stressful in the lead up with the flooding of the rivers in Southbank and surrounding areas affected by Cyclone Alfred.

Welcome to the blog hop or you may have come from one of the Queenslanders that were effected by this stormy conditions, Julia Quinn.

I am Caseing a card from page 42 of the Mini Catalogue which I have created for a friend who turns 60 next month.

This card starts with Bubble Bath card base and added a piece of the Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Series Paper and then layered a die cut banner in Bubble Bath and put a Basic White "60" from the Birthday Celebration dies.

It was then time to decorate with the Sticker Sheets and some Gold Twisted Thread which matches so well with all the Gold highlights in this SDSP.

Cardstock:  Bubble Bath, Basic White, Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Series Paper
Accessories:  Cut 'n Emboss Machine, Birthday Celebration Dies, Gold Twisted Thread
